BBQing is one of my favorite ways to cook! Everything is always sooo flavorful and delicous! These burgers were no different! I am in love with the flavors and using zucchini as the buns was just the icing on the cake!

Italian Zuchini Burgers

Italian Zucchini Burgers

Ingredients
Patty Ingredients
  • 1.25 lbs Extra Lean Ground Turkey
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Whole Eggs
  • ½ teaspoon Minced Garlic (1 garlic clove minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Flax Seeds
  • ¼ cup Quinoa Flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Nutritional Yeast
  • Salt and Pepper
Bun Ingredients
  • 1 large Zucchini, sliced
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper
Instructions
  1. Mix all patty ingredients together until fully combined.
  2. Form into patties.
  3. For the zucchini buns, brush both sides with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Place both the zucchini and patties on the grill flipping half way through.
  5. Keep on grill until fully cooked. Serve with extra tomato sauce.
Notes
Both the patties and buns can be made in the oven

The patties would be great lettuce wrapped, as meatballs, or with regular buns!
