Normally the hubby and I are all about pancakes like these: Protein Pancakes or Flourless Lemon Blueberry Pancakes. But, sometimes its nice to change it up! So, we decided to make some french toast. Now, this french toast is extra awesome because it has added protein and helped fuel us during our workout! Woo hoo! Not to mention it tasted delish :)

Protein Cinnamon French Toast
Recipe type: Breakfast
  • 4-5 pieces of Ezekiel Sprouted Grain Bread
  • ½ cup Liquid Egg Whites
  • 1 scoop Cinnamon Swirl Protein by About Time (use 25% discount code: FANTASTICALLYFIT to save on all orders)
  • ½ cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Dash of Cinnamon
  1. In a blender/food processor blend egg whites, protein powder, almond milk and vanilla extract.
  2. Then place each piece of bread in the liquid mixture and allow it to soak.
  3. Then spray with non-stick spray a griddle or pan and put the stove to medium heat.
  4. Cook each side for approximately 3 minutes then flip and cook the other side.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and top with fruit and maple syrup
