When I tried the Chipotle Mayonnaise by Sir Kensington’s I knew I had to make something south of the border flavored to compliment its delicious flavor. That is how these South of the Border Turkey Burgers were born. I love this flavor combo and know you will too!! These are so easy to make and great the next day too!

Ingredients
  • 1.25 pounds Extra Lean Ground Turkey
  • 2 tablespoons Salsa
  • 2 Whole Eggs
  • ½ teaspoon Minced Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Flax Seeds
  • ¼ cup Old Fashioned Oats
  • Heaping ⅛ cup Cotija Cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro, chopped
  • 1 Medium/Mild Jalapeno, diced
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • Topping: Sir Kensington's Chipotle Mayonnaise and Lettuce for the bun. Optional: add more cotija cheese to the top of the patty
Instructions
  1. Mix all of the ingredients together until fully combined. Allow the mixture to sit for at least 5 minutes. Form into approximately 8 patties depending on desired size. Grill on the barbeque until cooked through. These could also be cooked in the oven.
  2. Optional: Right before they are done sprinkle more cotija cheese on top of the patty to melt
  3. Top with Chipotle Mayo and use lettuce in place of buns.
