Have you ever tried infusing tea into your oatmeal? If not, I highly recommend you do it because it is a great way to add flavor to your oatmeal without adding a ton of extra sugars and calories. I love carrot cake so I decided to use Carrot Cake flavored tea from The NecessiTeas. I have also done this before with Tea Infused Egg White Oatmeal.
Tea Infused Carrot Cake Oatmeal

Ingredients
- 1 tea bag of The NecessiTeas Carrot Cake Tea (or tea of choice)
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 cup oats
- 2 teaspoon chia seeds
- ⅛ cup diced carrot
- 2 tablespoon raisins
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Optional: top with chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Place the 2 cups hot water in a pot and steap the tea in the pot for about 5 Minutes.
- Then place the oats, chia seeds, carrots, raisins, vanilla and cinnamon in the pot.
- Cook on medium heat stirring occasionally until almost no liquid is left.
- Mix in the honey and top with walnuts. Eat up!
Notes
This recipe would also be great with any cinnamon flavored tea bag!
